AUSTRALIAN FROGS                23

one of two subspecies of Whistling Tree Frog.Also known as Verreaux's Tree Frog or Verreaux's Alpine Tree Frog. Restricted to southern Alps of NSW and se Victoria. Restricted range and has declined; listed as endangered. Inhabits Alpine ponds and pools of creeks in moorland, alpine forest and partly cleared land.
