Originally thought. tom be one species, Litoria dentate has now been split into three species.

Found amongst vegetation near permanent ponds in sclerophyll forests. Distributed along a coastal strip along central and northern portion of NSW from northern Victoria to Southern Queensland.

AUSTRALIAN FROGS.              73

Ranges through coastal south-eastern Queensland and north-eastern NSW. Found in sclerophyll forest and marshes, where there is leaf litter or other material covering the soil. Status is secure.

Also known as Southern Barred Frog. Status is vulnerable. Found in riparian vegetation at elevations of 20m to 1100m. Ranges from north-eastern Victoria through coastal NSW to the extreme south-east of Queensland.

Closely associated with permanent rocky streams. Formerly extensive range along entire Great Div riding Range in NSW, but declined to two or three isolated areas.
